Team/Group grants are available for team/group members who are 18 years or under, who live in the City of Launceston municipality and who have been selected to represent Australia, Tasmania or Northern Tasmania in sporting, academic or cultural endeavours.
Approval of a grants is subject to the available budget and will be based on information provided in the application form which must include proof of selection.
Amounts available:
Team/Group
If activity is overseas $150 per individual team member (max $900 per team/group)
If activity is intrastate/interstate $75 per individual team member (max $450 per team/group)
One representative from the team/group (e.g. group leader, coach) is to complete the application form on behalf of the team. It is the responsibility of this individual to distribute the funds to the team in an appropriate manner. The City of Launceston takes no responsibility for this.
Applications must be received a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. Teams/groups that apply for funding after this will be ineligible. There will be no retrospective funding.
Teams/groups can only receive one grant each financial year with any one individual team member to receive a maximum of three (3) grants only.
Applications are assessed within 4 weeks in the order that they are received. Funding decisions are made under the approval of the Director Development Services and are subject to the available budget.
