Individual grants are available for individuals who are 18 years or under, live within the City of Launceston municipality and have been selected to represent Australia, Tasmania or Northern Tasmania in sporting, academic or cultural endeavours.
Approval of a grant is subject to the available budget and will be based on information provided in the application which must include proof of selection.
Funding Amount:
Individuals
If activity is overseas $300 per individual
If activity is intrastate/interstate $100 per individual
Applications from individuals must be received a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. Individuals that apply for funding after this will be ineligible. There will be no retrospective funding.
Individuals can only receive one grant from the City of Launceston each financial year with any one individual to receive a maximum of three (3) grants only.
Applications are assessed within 4 weeks in the order that they are received. Funding decisions are made under the approval of the Community and Place General Manager and are subject to the available budget.
